Based in Vancouver and founded in 2012 by Gigi Saul Guerrero, Luke Bramley, and Raynor Shima, these horror-loving peeps have upended the notion of Tex-Mex horror cinema with their crazy-prolific. The biopic, which is authorized by the late artist’s estate, will be produced by Los Angeles-based multimedia company Mucho Mas Media and De Line Pictures. Blumhouse has welcomed me with open arms to create and use my imagination to its fullest potential. Gigi Saul Guerrero is set to direct Jenni, a movie about the life of Mexican American singer Jenni Rivera. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the support of my family, friends, my beloved team Luchagore Productions, and Blumhouse Television for giving me the great opportunity to have my feature debut be a story so personal to my heart – Culture Shock. Guerrero was born and partially raised in Mexico. I feel so lucky and blessed to have a clear vision of my career at my age and I only want to continue to work as hard and tell cool stories to share with audiences that share the same love as I do for cinema and television. Guerrero created three distinct worlds within Culture Shock, starting first in Mexico, for which she wanted to bring a lot of culture. “Gotta be honest, joining the WGA and DGA feels like I just scored the at the same time the best Tacos al Pastor and Pozole!!
